What's New at Cavcon
Cavcon Construction is pleased to announce it has completed the new addition to the Powdermill Nature Reserve, part of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Rector, PA. This project is projected to be LEED Silver after review of the U.S. Green Building Council review. This 10,300 square foot expansion contains a number of environmentally friendly products, from recycled tires used for carpet, reflective roofing material to reduce air conditioning and using low VOC adhesives to improve the air quality of the building as well as containing the region’s first Marsh Machine. This ecological treatment system uses plants to purify and recycle wastewater for nonpoatable uses.
In addition to the Powdermill Nature Reserve, Cavcon Construction completed construction for Pate Investments, The Shoppes at Noble Square, this 8,850 square foot building, located at 125 Nature Park Road is the home of Hallmark Greeting Cards.
Cavcon Construction is pleased to announce an agreement with SESCO LLC to complete the design and construction of their new 17,000 square foot corporate office complex. This design-build project includes 5,000 square foot trading area, business offices, meeting rooms, a board room and other support and employee use facilities. In our continued efforts to develop design-build partnerships, Cavcon, The Lettrich Group Architects and SESCO collaborated extensively to complete a design that fit the needs of SESCO. This project is under construction and look for a late spring of 2008 completion.
