Cavcon in the news!
Cavcon Construction recently completed the Delmont Surgery Center for Dr. Francis Johns. This 9,500 square foot center includes two Class C surgical suites. It was completed as a Design Build project with The Lettrich Group completing the Architectural Services. Please refer to the Portolio Design Build section for more detail.
Cavcon Construction is pleased to announce it has completed the new addition to the Powdermill Nature Reserve, part of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Rector, PA. This project is projected to be LEED Silver after review of the U.S. Green Building Council review. This 10,300 square foot expansion contains a number of environmentally friendly products, from recycled tires used for carpet, reflective roofing material to reduce air conditioning and using low VOC adhesives to improve the air quality of the building as well as containing the region’s first Marsh Machine. This ecological treatment system uses plants to purify and recycle wastewater for nonpotable uses. This project also recently received a Certificate of Merit and Green Design Citation from the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
